Costume Terms of Service
Thank you for your interest in Headless Hare Creations!
Please read all information before ordering. It is also recommended that you read the FAQ as well.
General:
Please have a decent etiquette when exchanging emails or discussions.
Anything that is said in messages, either by email, notes, PMs, etc. is binding.
You must be 18 or older to order. If you lie and are under 18 during work of the commission, it will be cancelled and you will be refunded accordingly excluding the 30% down payment. You will be blacklisted from ordering from me again.
Quote Form:
A quote form can be filled out to get a price estimate of your character. Prices are subject to change due to the fluctuation in cost of materials.
If you are only using the quote form for a price estimate then please so in the subject field.
Reference Sheet:
A reference sheet (preferably safe for work) is REQUIRED when purchasing a suit. It is preferred that the reference sheet of the character has three sides (front, back and side), as well as any special details. Make sure it is a flat color reference and is clear and simple to read. This is important so all markings can be accurate. If you do not have a reference sheet, I can make one for a fee. If you do not have a character I can also help you design one for a fee. The reference sheet may likely be discussed via email or other chat messenger to clarify any marking that may be unclear to get the best results. Please have it be SFW (safe for work) only.
Pricing:
Pricing is based off the character’s appearance and complexity of markings/colors. The more complicated the character, the more expensive and time consuming it will be to make. The design will be set in once payments are complete. One small change is allowed on the suit and may be subject to an additional fee. If there is somehow an error on my part then it will be changed for free. However the design will be thoroughly discussed to make sure there are no issues.
Payments:
A down payment of 30% is required after you are accepted. This payment must be received within a week to secure your spot. This payment is nonrefundable, as it is used for material costs.
Payment plans are available; however keep in mind that work will not be started until you have paid everything off. It is recommended that you save up and are financially capable of paying for a fursuit when you order. If there are no payments or communication for two months, your order will be dropped. If you stop making a payment out of the scheduled time per month, you may be pushed back in the queue. The more capable you are of paying up front, the sooner you’ll be able to receive your suit.
DTD Measurements:
Information can be found in the ‘DTD Tutorial’ section of the website.
When ordering, there are a few measurements I will need depending on your purchase.
Deadlines:
Deadlines are not guaranteed. If you suggest a deadline, it can be a goal, however it is not set and may pass if there are unseen issues. Delays may occur sometimes; you will be notified if there is an important delay.
If the buyer does not maintain contact in a timely fashion, deadlines cannot be guaranteed.
Allergy Warnings:
My work takes place in a home with cats. They are not allowed in the workplace but it may still be harmful for allergy sufferers.
There are no dogs and this is a smoke-free workplace.
Pictures:
WIPS will be posted via social media. Please do not harass for WIPS, this will delay the making of the costume further. I will post photos of the completed work to my website and other sites for viewing purposes. The commissioner is allowed to use these pictures of their fursuit. Other users do not have the right to repost pictures I have taken.
Refunds:
If you have issued a refund;
And your suit has not been worked on yet; you will receive all your payments except for the 30%.
And your suit is in progress, you will receive payments according to how much work had been completed.
And your suit is completed, you cannot receive a refund.
I reserve the right to cancel your order at any time due to foul nature, lack of payments, harassment, etc. If the suit is being worked on at the time of a refund or order cancellation, the suit will be changed and sold.
Repairs:
There is a one-month warranty. During the first month, if you find any loose seams or such, these may be repaired for free (however shipping will need to be paid for). Your suit must be clean before sending in. (It must not smell or have mud/stains). If it is not, there will be a cleaning fee. If there are holes or rips that were caused by rough play and not the manufacturer’s mistake, you will be charged a fee for repair. Sending photos of the damage are recommended before sending the suit over. I have the right to refuse repairs if there is too much damage and/or you purposely abused your suit. If you need to have your suit altered, this will be done for a small fee. After one month all repairs will have an hourly work charge. Modifications on the suit OF ANY KIND that were not done by me will void the one-month warranty and you will be charged for the repairs.
Cleaning:
I am not responsible should you use another care guide to clean your suit and it becomes damaged or unwearable. I have a care guide listed for you to follow.
Premades:
Premades are subject to everything written here, aside from the payment section.
Premade purchases are preferably done in one payment for the full amount unless it is agreed before the auction.
If you have bought out/bid on a premade and have not contacted/replied to my messages after 48 hours from the purchase date then it will be forfeit and will be relisted.
If it is over two weeks and you have made payments and stopped all contact then the money will be refunded and the premade will be relisted.
Shipping:
The purchaser will be required to pay for shipping. I have the right to choose which carriers/services to go with. Keep in mind that shipping outside of the U.S. will have a greater fee. You will be given a shipping quote. Once it has been agreed, you will have seven days to pay the quoted amount.
Customer Agreement:
If I have emailed you back with your quote and you accept the price, you will need to sign a customer agreement. In summary, this just explains the payment process, that you are aware of cats being near the workplace, photography rights, etc. This document may either be signed electronically or signed by printing out all document pages and signing where necessary and scanning the pages to your computer. In rare cases I may also ask for a valid state I.D. for your age (you can blur out other information).
ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS:
To order, please fill out the quote form. You must agree to the Terms and Conditions stated here. If you receive and email back, then you have been selected. Your quote will be attached.
Depending on the situation, you will be able to pay via Paypal or possibly a money order or cashier's check. If the price is agreed on, then the 30% nonrefundable payment will be requested. Once that payment is made, you will be put into the payment queue.
From here, you will make payments until the price is met. Again, the suit will not be started unless full payment is complete. A DTD and other similar measurements will be required. It is best that you have these ready once you have paid the suit off.
You can find all the information you will need to make one in the ‘DTD Tutorial’ tab. Older DTD’s will not be accepted, they must be made fresh to ensure the correct fitting. A shipping quote will be issued near the completion of the suit for the most accurate payment.
By commissioning Headless Hare Creations, you agree to these terms and agreements and are bound to them.
Please read all information before ordering. It is also recommended that you read the FAQ as well.
